Team Uechi took 20 people down to Clacton for the East England Karate Championships being organised by Toyakwai and a good day was had by all those that competed.
Jodie now doing specialised kata training with the England coach Johnathon Motram which has paid off with a gold and a silver to start the day of in the right way.
1st and 3rd in the team competitions then 4 golds, 5 silvers and 3 bronzes well done all.

21 medals and 19 competing very good result for Uechi-Ryu
Welcome to Uechi Ryu Karate club and our updated blog by Sensei Dean Lowe. We are a family friendly club and we teach traditional and competition Karate to beginners and grades of all ages and ability. As a coach I have had the pleasure and privilege to coach some of the country’s top fighters, many of whom have won medals at British and English championships and represented England at international level. We have four students currently in the England squad.

Just updated the results as I missed a medal off from the results as pointed out. That now makes a total off 21 medals and 19 competing!
